So, yesterday we went to the library and checked out a few books. My daughter is learning how to read now and I thought an I Can Read book was perfect for her. When I saw this book I thought it was perfect so we checked it out. She wasn't too convinced about it but found it hilarious when I read it to her. She even tried reading it herself. Hopefully her little brother won't drive her crazy when he's older but you never know!

Simple Things Sunday- June 24th

This week started the official day of summer and along with that some of the most really hot days! We took advantage of the mid 90 degree weather to take a refreshing swim in the beach. The water was amazing, it was very refreshing. We even went again the next day. Only one little person I know didn't enjoy cooling off in the water, my little baby. It was his first visit ever to the beach and he didn't like it. I hope he gets used to it cause there will be many more. He did enjoy playing with the sand though. 
This was definitely the highlight of the week!

Simple Things Sunday- June 17

This week my daughter has shown me how much she loves her baby brother. She takes care of him so well. Here she is patting him to sleep after changing him. It's just too cute.

She also graduated from Kindergarten this week and is receiving her diploma. Now she's going on to 1st grade. 

There has also been lots of outdoor play and I sometimes have to force her to go outside because she's so used to being in for so long. This summer is going to be hard for her because she loves school, so I have to come up with ways to keep her busy.

These are too funny, her expression is hilarious!

'Hit Me With your Best Shot'

A Sister's Kiss

This is my submission for Rock My Photography's photo contest 'Hit Me With Your Best Shot'. Everytime I start looking at all my photos I always revert back to this one. It has to be my absolute favorite. This was taken at the beginning of January when he was about 6 months old. It is such a sweet moment!

Simple Things Sunday- June 3rd

On friday we went to the fair, it had been a while since we had last been to one. My daughter was so excited because she wanted to ride the ferris wheel. After we left she couldn't stop talking about it, I think today is the last day and she wants to go back.

She just made a little watercolor painting of the ferris wheel, her way of telling me she wants to go again. She always makes drawings or paintings of things she wants. She loves to draw.

The Beginning of Good Things

Around here, the rising temperatures causes us to find ways to cool off! This is one way to cool off, getting the hose ready for some action. Summer is the most fun season around here, barbecues, beach, park, and other things that cannot be done during the cold. I love summer, although it's not officially summer yet, it sometimes feels like it! This is why this is my favorite picture of the week.

A Month in Photos- May 2012

Wow, May came and went in a blur. We're already in June starting a new month. The great weather most of May brought lots of outdoor play for the kids.

I took them to the park many times where they were able to play more freely. Even ride the carousel. My baby starts yelling when he sees the carousel. It's his way of saying "I want to ride".

He has also discovered how fun the slide is, he goes down the slide like a big boy!

This month was also Mother's Day and I jumped in for pictures with he kids.

And on the last day of May, we bought my daughter a new bathing suit and since she has no patience she wanted to wear it right away. There she is testing the water and getting wet outside with the hose.
