Texture Tuesday- the WaterColor eDition

Happy Tuesday! This week's texture tuesday is about using the watercolor textures 'oh my' or 'let go'.
I loved working with these textures, especially with these images whose subject has a lot of yellow in them. There's a little story behind each one.

For this one, as I was making the lemonade for the pictures I was thinking of a quote about lemons. So I say "When life gives you lemons" my 6 year old daughter finishes the quote for me by saying "you get what you get and you don't get upset". I don't know where she heard it but, when I gave her some lemonade she didn't like it. I don't know why because it was good, and I told her it's the same thing like the lemonade we buy in summer which she loves. I think she was being silly!!

Another story about my daughter for these next images. We went to the playground around noon that day and afterwards I told her that I wanted flowers for the pictures. So, she looks at the weeds in the park and starts picking a couple and tells me 'here are some flowers'. So, I go with it and we pick a whole bunch. When we get home, I set up these shots outside and she helps me arrange them in the vase.

She set the flowers in this one herself:

  1. Love your dandelion shots and how wonderful that you let your daughter take charge. They are beautiful images and remind me of a quote by Eeyore in Winnie the Pooh: "every weed's a flower, once you get to know it."

  4. What a great way to engage your child in something you love to do - maybe she'll grow up to be a great photographer too! Beautiful images.

    1. Thank you! Well, she has already asked me to buy her a camera. She says she wants to be a photographer, lol. I will one day, so she can take her own pictures.
