Mommy Moments- the bottle

I am still struggling with teaching the baby how to drink from a bottle or other type of cup. But, I try everyday with the daily bottle but he seems to think it's a toy. He hardly drinks from it. I give him 2 months to learn because I want to stop or reduce the breast feeding.

#3 'Depth of Field' So, this image I shot using a wide aperture and focused on the bottle to get a shallow DOF. I love how he is totally ignoring the bottle in this one and is instead interested in something else because it reflects exactly how he feels about this whole thing.

These are other images I captured of him with the bottle. Im glad I captured these because I don't have a lot of pictures with him and a bottle.

  1. Awww...he's so precious!! My boys never took the bottle ever. I didn't have to work so it was not an issue.

    1. Thank you! I don't work either at the moment but want to pretty soon. So, he has to learn. I want him to be more flexible.

  2. Very neat shot! My little guy is not a fan either. He would rather go hungry or stuff his face with gold fish haha

    1. Thank you! Yes, the top photo does capture exactly the moment, how he feels about it. It's more of a toy for him.

  5. I know just how you feel. Our daughter never took a bottle well. The thing that she finally did take was a sippy with a straw top. She was younger than they recommend for the straw cups - but she took to them so well. Good news - I never had to break her from the bottle.

I love that first shot so much.

    1. Thank you! That is a great tip, I might need to buy him one of those cups, anything to get him to drink from something. And it's true, I will never have to wean from the bottle.
